“You’re a genius.” She quipped, smile etched on her features as she bit her lip. Just looking at him caused her stomach to flip. It had something to do with the way he’d softened just in front of her eyes and the smirk he was wearing wasn’t helping much. “They’re not going to be doing much, just marrying rich and living in the lap of luxury like they’re already used to. Obviously I have nothing against money because we all need some to get around in life, I just don’t like they way they use it to their advantage.” Sophia shrugged, unsure if she really made much sense just then or if she simply rambled on about one of her pet peeves. “Jealous?” The brunette smirked, an eyebrow arched in question as a soft laugh emitted from between her lips.
“Well aren’t you the flatterer?” He retorted, a snort leaving him. Jasper could just imagine her as uncomfortable as ever, or sleeping in Lupe’s room for the night. It was enough to know that he was going to have someone else other than his housemaid, and that only made him a little worried. He’d never really strove to bring anyone home, but suddenly he was glad he sent a text to the wrong person. “Well, you do need money for everything but–” He shrugged, not daring to mention the money he had hid in his basement. Money from his drug business, and money from the cases he took thanks to his father. It was ridiculous how much he saved up, and spent it on the dumbest of things. “Yeah, jealous. She’s like my mum, so she might stare at you all the time. She’s not fond of everyone, y'know. That’s why we get along.”
