Sophia rolled her eyes, she rarely shared what was going on in her mind but when she did she was used to comments like he had just made. It had gotten to the point where she didn’t really care anymore and besides they were all high school students and she’d probably never see them again come Autumn. “Maureen Weston if you were seriously wondering.” She said softly, answering the question he most likely didn’t want the answer to. “Why don’t you care? Alright, a few hours from now when I’m heading out that door I’ll let her know.” The brunette said, slightly hurt by his first comment though she couldn’t focus on much other than the way he was toying with her hair.
Jasper never really knew how to speak with people. His social skills were rusty and corroded, ancient copper compared to new-found metal. “That a girl?” He asked, cocking an eyebrow with his inquiry. “Sounds like she could be a girl.” But at her next comment, he developed a confused expression. Had he said or done something wrong? Living in an environment where there was naught but tweens doing drugs and slipping sedatives into their veins, there wasn’t really anything he could do but pick up their phrases and personalities. “What in the Hell are you talking about?” He asked, tone swelling with perplexity. “Did I say somethin’ that offended you?”
