“Oh god.” Victoria muttered under her breath as a certain person had caught her eye. This was the last thing she needed especially since she had just gotten married. Of course Victoria happened to run into Jasper as soon as they absolutely couldn’t be together; that was just the luck Victoria had. Smiling back at him, she slowly got up and walked over. Maintaining the smile on her face to make sure everything seemed normal, she began to speak. “Not to sound rude, but what are you doing here?” Victoria wasn’t sure if she’d be able to be around him for much longer, else she’d ask him to hop on a life boat and sail away with her.
There wasn’t a day that went by where Jasper wasn’t plastered in her mind. It was like he had brainwashed her to only want him. Yes, her husband was a complete sweetheart, but she just couldn’t convince herself to love him. He would never be just right considering she compared everything her husband did to everything Jasper did. Now, she had to deal with her mediocre husband and be near Jasper.
Once she was about to walk over to him, he couldn’t help but fix his tie and straighten himself up, as if he were a kid again. Not only did he yearn for her for so many years, but to have to live with the fact that she would be sleeping in another’s bed for the rest of her life was enough to make destroy him inside. They were both filthy rich now, not daring to put an article of clothing on that was below a thousand dollars. Their consort’s were loaded with money, and that was the only reason why he married Gina in the first place. His thoughts soon fractured and dissolved from his mind at the sound of her sweet, melodious voice. “I’m married.” He said, almost proudly. “To your husband’s sister.” It pained him to say it, but it was the truth.
Now that she was in front of him, he couldn’t help but fall in love all over again. Out of all his eleven wives, the only one that he could ever remember was her. Her smile, her saccharine personality, the way she kissed. Her and his new wife were different in so many ways. It hurt to be with the other, but it was so easy to convince her and her parents that he was in love. “How are you?” He asked, his voice nothing more than a whisper. His eyes set on the ring placed on her finger. How much was that worth? 20k? Probably more. “You look… beautiful."
