Kites AU || Jasper and Victoria

Victoria noticed how he adjusted himself as she walked over. He had always dressed nicely, but this was just over the top. She had never been the type of girl who like super fancy clothes. Victoria always felt her best in sweatpants, but of course, she wouldn’t be caught dead in sweatpants now. “Holy shit. I knew I should have went to that wedding.” She said, her eyes wide. Victoria knew she wouldn’t have wanted to go to that wedding. It would rip her to shreds to see him get married to another woman, especially Gina. “They told me she was marrying a guy named Jasper, but I thought it was just a coincidence. Wow, that’s crazy.”

She let her gaze fall to the floor, not wanting to look at him for too long. Victoria tended to get a bit starry eyed with Jasper and it showed on her face. “Do you want the honest answer or the lying rich girl answer?” She asked raising an eyebrow. “Oh, thank you. I hate this dress, though, it’s tight and itchy and costs more than I’m even worth. Don’t even get me started on the shoes.”

He had remembered how much she loved to be comfortable, and disliked the lavish environment that rich, narcissistic assholes lived in. But it was all good irony, considering she had been doing just that. Jasper, however, was a cheater and a liar, except when it came to Victoria. The sole reason why he had married eleven women were for green card scams and benefits. He didn’t love ten of them, and now he was married to someone else– which made twelve in total. All he ever wanted was money, riches, and a shot at fame. But now his favorite blonde was with him, and he couldn’t imagine being with anyone else but her.  "You thought it was another Jasper?“ He laughed softly. "Huh. That’s– that’s funny. Yeah, I uh– got married last week. She’s a real…” He sighed loudly. “…she’s really somethin’.”

And by that he meant that she was really nothing. He had convinced her to sleep with him, had convinced her to let him meet her parents, and convinced her to pay for the entire wedding whilst having him become a part of their casino franchise and secret mafia. The entire thing was ludicrous, and he was glad that Victoria knew nothing of the latter. “I want an honest answer. I want the real Victoria’s answer.” He smiled, tugging on his tie. “You won’t believe how much this tie costs.”
