The only reason she looked up was because she, and the other boy, were the only people in the restaurant.

She stands, bringing the glass container of salt from her table before setting it down on the end of his.
“Thank you.” He said, peppering a bit of salt onto his eggs, looking up at her with a small smile. By the time he was finished, he laid his head on his hand with a tired sigh.

One would have said they were the last people on Earth. The restaurant was deserted, and he’d never tried the food before. Was it really that awful?
