“Among a few smaller gifts, yes.” Sophia admitted, hoping she didn’t come off as the stereotypical rich girl that loved to show of her new purchases and everything her father bought for her. In her mind she was nothing like that, the complete opposite even, but she just hoped it came across that way. “Well at least you got something you like and have use for.” The brunette said softly as she gazed up at the smoking male. Her mind was cluttered with thoughts about him, how she needed to charge her phone, and how amazing he looked in the dark lighting. If she wasn’t so timid she would have loved to take the cigarette from him and try for herself, but that would only result in her lungs failing her and most likely an angry man.
“Sounds like your parents love you a lot.” He said, his tone sounding harsher than intended. Jasper lit his cigarette out, setting it on the ashtray that contained far too many cigarettes for his liking. It looked like Lupe forgot to clean it out before she went to bed. Either way, he shrugged it off and looked over at her, the girl’s optimism being far too great for him to control himself. “Yeah, because everythin’ is as peachy as you want it to be, right?” He snapped, hands clenching into fists, a cycle he repeated every time he was angry. “A lighter and some cigarettes is a real good Christmas present, yeah.”
